The placement head of the Sony placement machine is a key component in the placement machine. Its main function is to suck electronic components from the feeder and accurately place them on the PCB. The placement head sucks the components onto the suction nozzle through the principle of vacuum adsorption, and then uses the part camera on the placement head to identify the center offset and deflection of the components on the suction nozzle, and corrects them through the XY axis and RN axis. Finally, the components are placed on the PCB.
The structure and working principle of the patch head
The placement head usually consists of a nozzle, a nozzle head and a shaft. The suction nozzle is used to pick up components. There is a vacuum valve on the head of the suction nozzle, which is used to switch the vacuum valve when picking up components, placing them, or discharging NG components. Multiple nozzles are usually installed on the nozzle head. The back seat of each nozzle is held tightly by a spring, and fluorescent paper is used around it to reflect light for easy operation.
Motion control of placement head
The motion control of the placement head includes XY motion, RN motion and VAC motion:
XY Movement: Realizes the plane movement of the suction nozzle, supporting the placement head to move in the X and Y directions.
RN motion: realize the rotation movement of the suction nozzle and correct the deflection angle of the component.
VAC Movement: Realizes film suction and blowing movements, adsorbing and releasing components through vacuum.
Maintenance and maintenance of patch head
The placement head requires regular inspection and maintenance during use, including cleaning the nozzle, checking the working status of the vacuum system, and calibrating the part camera. Regular maintenance can ensure the normal operation of the placement head, improve placement accuracy and the overall performance of the machine
