The working principle of the SMT horizontal feeder mainly includes the following steps:
Component loading: First, the electronic components are loaded into the feeder (feeder) in a certain arrangement. This usually involves fixing the components on the tape, which is then mounted on the shaft of the feeder.
Equipment connection: The feeder is connected to the placement machine to ensure the synchronization of signal transmission and mechanical movement.
Component identification and positioning: The feeder identifies the type, size, pin direction and other information of the component through internal sensors or cameras. This information is crucial for subsequent precise placement.
Component picking: The placement head moves to the specified position of the feeder according to the instructions of the control system and picks up the component. During the picking process, it is necessary to ensure that the pin direction and position of the component are accurate.
Component placement: After picking up the component, the placement head moves to the specified position of the PCB, places the component on the pad of the PCB, and ensures that the pin of the component is aligned with the pad.
Reset and cycle: After completing a component placement, the feeder will automatically reset to the initial state and prepare for the next component pickup. The entire process is cycled under the command of the control system until all component placement tasks are completed.
Driving mode and classification
The feeder can be divided into electric drive, pneumatic drive and mechanical drive according to different driving modes. Among them, electric drive has small vibration, low noise and high control accuracy, so it is more common in high-end placement machines.
