Leukos Laser Electro MIR 9 is a high-power mid-infrared supercontinuum picosecond laser from LEUKOS, France.

Principle

It is based on the principle of supercontinuum laser. Supercontinuum laser refers to a beam of high-intensity short pulses passing through photonic crystal fiber, through a series of nonlinear effects and linear dispersion, so that many new spectral components are generated in the output light, thereby widening the spectrum and covering a wide spectral range. In simple terms, it is to connect a fiber with a special structure to the laser, so that the laser Raman scatters continuously in the fiber, and finally becomes a white light output with a continuous spectrum.

Function

Wide spectral coverage: The spectral range is from 800nm to 9500nm, which can cover a wide area of the mid-infrared band and meet the needs of various applications that require lasers of different wavelengths, such as the detection of different molecular fingerprint characteristics in spectroscopy research.

Achromatic collimated output: Based on LEUKOS' 38 years of experience in fluoride optical fibers and 10 years of experience in laser design and manufacturing, Electro MIR 9 is able to perform true achromatic while ensuring perfectly collimated light output over the entire spectral range, which helps to ensure the stability and accuracy of the laser during transmission and application, such as providing a clear and stable light source in high-resolution imaging applications.

High power output: As a high-power laser, the average power of Electro MIR 9 can reach a high level (such as 800mW), and the high power makes it perform well in some applications that require strong light irradiation, such as material processing, medical surgery and other fields.

Picosecond pulse characteristics: With a short pulse width of picoseconds, short-pulse lasers are very useful in some applications that require high temporal resolution, such as for the study of ultrafast phenomena, high-speed signal transmission in optical communications, etc.

Spatial single-mode: The output of spatial single-mode laser has good beam quality, which can concentrate the laser energy in a smaller spatial range, improve the utilization efficiency and accuracy of the laser, and is suitable for applications that require high-precision positioning and fine processing.

Long service life and no daily maintenance: The laser has the characteristics of long service life and no daily maintenance, which reduces the use cost and maintenance workload, improves the reliability and stability of the equipment, enables it to operate stably for a long time, and is suitable for various industrial and scientific research occasions
